About the book
MEMPHIS
I've been a fighter all my life. I never back down. I don't fold. But him? One touch from him and my resolve instantly disintegrates.
BO
You might call me mean, evil, maybe even diabolical. I'll take all that because I only care about her. Nothing and no one else. She's all that matters, and I'll do anything to make her mine...again.
Review
That doggone Alexandria House! That freaking Alexandria House!
This book took me on a ride I was not prepared for—in the best way possible. What initially felt like a dark romance quickly evolved into a gripping romantic suspense, and honestly? I couldn’t have been happier about the shift.
At first, Memphis and Bo had me side-eyeing the entire situation because whew… the toxicity was loud. But once their history started unfolding? Everything clicked. Alexandria House layered this story with just the right amount of tension, heat, and emotional depth. The suspense had me on edge, trying to figure out who was dirty—and just when I thought I had it all figured out, bam! Here comes another twist. Lawd. I clutched my invisible pearls more times than I can count. If I were a smoker, I’d have gone through a whole carton of Newports. My nerves were SHOT.
Let’s talk about the audiobook for a second—because Wesleigh Siobhan and Winston James absolutely brought this story to life. Their performances added layers to the characters that made the emotions hit even harder.
I’m already looking forward to Book 3 because I know it’s about to be Umber’s story (Lilith and Memphis’ baby sister), and if Alexandria House has taught me anything, it’s to buckle up.
***I received an ARC of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.***
Memphis definitely gets Yolanda’s Literary Haven Stamp of Approval.
